Born in Australia I lived in London, Paris and New York before arriving in Berlin, Germany. In April 2018 my family and I relocated to Düsseldorf. Prior to the birth of my daughter in January 2017 and training to be a doula I'd spent the past decade working in music and artist management.
Her birth and my transformation into parenthood ignited an obsession with the current birthing narrative, the way birthing persons are treated and the way they feel about themselves and their experiences. And thus began my journey into birth work.
Simply put, I believe in our instincts and innate ability to have a positive birth story, regardless of how or where we choose to birth.
I proudly trained under teachers Lindsey Bliss, Samantha Huggins and Domino Kirke - the powerhouse Carriage House Birth collective in New York, October 2017 and began working with clients in December 2017. Since I've completed further training in Spinning Babies with Jennifer Walker, ’Maternity Care: Building Relationships Really Does Save Lives’ through Griffith University and Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss with Amy Wright Glenn. In August 2019 I completed my certification with Carriage House Birth. #iamacarriagehousebirthdoula I currently teach Birth Preparation classes and parenting and birth related workshops at Cocoonyoga and Female Health, Düsseldorf.
